ETI Technical College of Niles

• The Electronic Technology Institute Technical College of Niles (ETI Tech) began in 1929 as the National Radio School in Cleveland. The Mahoning/Trumbull county region branch of ETI Tech, which is in Niles, opened in 1989 and has been offering degrees in fields such as automated office technology, medical assistance, word processing and electronic technology ever since. The motto at ETI Tech is "hands-on training plus education equals employment." The only two admissions requirements at ETI Tech are that applicants hold a high school diploma or general education development (GED) credential and that they pass an entrance exam.

• The Mahoning County Career and Tech Center (MCCTC) is located in Canfield in the Mineral Ridge area of Ohio. It takes both recent high school graduates as well as people looking to change careers and teach them the skills necessary to get a new career. MCCTC offers programs such as its certified welding and computer keyboarding programs. This institution's main purposes are career enhancement and vocational training, therefore only certifications are awarded.
