The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University enrolls about 1,600 students across its undergraduate and graduate programs. Founded in 1969, Fuqua, the son of a tobacco farmer, used his fortune to help aspiring entrepreneurs learn the necessary skills for managing a business. The Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina's Chapel Hill campus, established in 1919, offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in many fields of business. Ken-Flagler houses four different MBA programs, each suited for different lifestyles; the typical full-time MBA program has the highest enrollment, but the school also offers Weekend MBAs, Evening MBAs and the OneMBA Global Program, which combines on-campus courses with online coursework.

The Belk College of Business at UNC-Charlotte offers undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees across an array of business faculties. First established in 1965, the college was renamed in 1991 to honor the businessman William Henry Belk of Belk department store fame, who was instrumental in the establishment of the entire campus. Belk Business offers five master's programs, including a traditional MBA, a MBA in Sports Marketing and Management and a Master of Science in Mathematical Finance. Total enrollment at Belk hovers around 3,500 students.
