The University of Akron offers a master's program in music technology. The program is designed to equip students with the necessary skills for music production. Oberlin College offers an all-encompassing program called Technology in Music and the Related Arts (TIMARA). It is a bachelor's degree program that aims to give students a deep understanding of music technology and performance, two essential ingredients for any music producer. Coursework includes studio recording, performance technology, analog and digital circuit design and workshop in music and media technologies.
