Rosen College at the University of Central Florida (UCF) offers courses that can contribute toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospital Management and their master's program in hospitality and tourism management. Experiential learning courses are at the core of both degrees because they give students the opportunity to apply classroom theory in real-life settings and to gain the experience they need to join the workforce. UCF's location in Orlando, a tourism destination because of its many theme parks, places students in a position to intern for some of the United States' leading resorts. Courses include core classes in financial accounting, marketing, communications and industry finance as well as specialized management courses focusing on tourism, lodging, vacation ownership resorts, golf clubs, and theme parks and attractions. For students interested in pursuing a degree, the Rosen College offers many scholarships, some of which are named for area businesses, as well as campus housing for full-time students.
