The SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry enrolls fewer than 100 graduate students in the fish and wildlife science. Field stations within this program include a 6,000-hectare forest and ecological center, and a biological station in the Adorondack Mountains south of Syracuse, New York. Graduate students earning a Master's degree in wildlife science and biology can fulfill much of their research requirements studying in these wild settings. Studies range from the management of wildlife in forests and urban areas to the restoration of species. Students can also use advanced technology, including satellite imagery and radio telemetry to study the behaviors of animals and measure animal populations.
