The Hospitality Management program at South Seattle Community College provides industry-specific education for students who have successfully completed technical degrees in accounting, culinary, business and related programs. Hotel management courses prepare graduates to work in hotel operations, the travel industry, the casino industry and emerging businesses where hotel management skills are applicable, such as the retirement community industry. Classes are held in the afternoon to accommodate students' work schedules. The program lasts two years, culminating in the award of a Bachelor of Applied Science degree.

Located in the Seattle suburb of Des Moines, Washington, Highline Community College combined two separate degree programs in 2010 to create the Hospitality and Tourism Management program. The college offers a two-year Applied Science degree, or students may elect to take shorter term courses for certification in specific aspects of hotel management, including Front Office Operations, Customer Service in Hospitality, and Food and Beverage Management. Part of the curriculum is an internship in the hospitality industry which Highline CC supports through relationships with local related businesses.

The Career and Technical Education Department of Seattle's public school system offers Pathway courses for students interested in hotel management and the broader hospitality industry. The courses run one or two semesters and encompass both classroom activities and focused group projects. Topics range from business principles and marketing to practical experience in reservations, customer service, housekeeping and events planning.
