The New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) offers a Bachelor of Science and associate's degree program in Game Development and Simulation Programming Technology. Students are offered instruction in the technical aspects of the field, including 2D and 3D graphics programming techniques like scrolling and collision detection. Advanced programming algorithms involving artificial intelligence and pattern-based design is also included. NEIT's group-oriented lab settings allow students to hone their interpersonal, teamwork and project management skills.

Students also learn the basics of storyboarding and scripting interactive elements. Coursework includes Web Animation and 3D Modeling. Westchester's program can be completed in as little as three years and be tailored with other programs so students can earn both an associate's and bachelor's degree simultaneously.
