UMMC provides an accomplished learning ground for nursing students, as the center also functions as the state's only level one trauma center, giving students the opportunity for hands-on clinical practice right on campus.

      The nursing program offers several degree programs, including an associate of science degree, a bachelor of applied science degree and several master's programs for those who are already registered nurses. Tuition for undergraduate nursing students as of 2010 is $2,719 per semester for full-time residents of Mississippi and $6,946 for non-residents.

    • Located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the University of Southern Mississippi offers nursing students a challenging and respected program. The school was founded in 1910 and has since become a renowned public university serving over 16,000 students from around the world.
