Louisiana State University--Eunice offers its students a wide variety of subjects to choose from, in 13 different degree programs. LSUE also offers an athletics program that includes baseball, basketball, and softball. In 2008, approximately 3,031 students attended LSUE, and the school employed 166 professors, putting the average class size at 21 students per class. According to LSUE, "tuition will be $96.00 per credit up to a maximum of $1,170 for 21 credit hours."

Southern University at Shreveport has been open since 1967. SUSLA offers 30 different academic programs for its students to choose from, offering a wide variety of options. SUSLA offers two other locations in addition to the main campus to accommodate their health and aerospace programs. Tuition for SUSLA begins at $405 for 1 credit hour and goes up to $789 total for 12 credit hours, per semester. SUSLA also offers men's and women's basketball in addition to their academic programs. Louisiana Delta Community College is located in Monroe. Louisiana Delta offers nine associate degree programs as well as a High School Bridge Program. The tuition ranges from $150 for one credit hour to $1,081 for more than 12 credit hours per semester. According to Louisiana Delta CC, "Since it began offering classes in 2001, Delta has consistently ranked among the best in the nation in student satisfaction." Louisiana Delta Community College is also one of the few community colleges that has on-site dorm facilities available for its full-time students.
