The Expressive Arts Therapy program from the International University of Professional Studies does not claim to be accredited but it does offer a lot of flexibility. Students work with a mentor to earn credits for a master's or doctorate degree by taking classes at colleges near their home, attending conferences or by reading books and submitting papers. Students can even design their own electives.

This accredited 45-credit program offers students the ability to become scholarly researchers or administrators in the field.
