Chamberlain College offers students at its Columbus, Ohio, campus an opportunity to obtain an Associate Degree in Nursing. The program is designed to give students with no experience in the field an opportunity to learn from the ground up. It is a six-semester program that runs year-round. Students are exposed to the basics of nursing and the fundamentals of the career as well as general education classes. Upon completing the two-year program, students are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN) exam.
Chamberlain College offers students studying at its campuses in Addision, Illinois; Arlington, Virginia; Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; Jacksonville, Florida; Houston; Phoenix; and St. Louis, Missouri, the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Typically, a bachelor's degree takes four years to complete. Chamberlain runs its programs year-round, allowing students to earn the degree in a lesser amount of time -- as little as three years. No prior experience is required to enter the program. Students learn the skills and knowledge needed to obtain a career in the nursing field. The program involves both nursing-focused and general education courses.
Students with a previous bachelor's degree can obtain a BSN through Chamberlain's second-degree BSN program. The program is designed to build upon the student's extant knowledge, allowing students to complete a BSN degree in as little as just over a year. Courses are provided online with an in-person lab-work component.
Registered nurses (RNs) can opt to study at Chamberlain College to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). The MSN degree is offered in two formats: the executive track and the educator track. Students in the executive track focus on furthering their own career. Students in the educator track learn the skills necessary to teach and train other nurses. The degree is offered online with an in-person component.
Students in Ohio can opt to participate in the Licensed Practicing Nurse (LPN) to RN bridge program. Students in this program "bridge the gap" between the two professions. The program is offered online, but only Ohio residents are eligible. Registered Nurses seeking an MSN degree can participate in the online RN to MSN bridge program. There is no residency restriction on the RN to MSN bridge program, but only registered nurses can participate. The same holds true for the RN to BSN bridge program offered online by Chamberlain College. Students who obtain an MSN from Chamberlain College are eligible to obtain a master of business administration (MBA) via an agreement with DeVry University's Keller Graduate School of Management. Students participating in the MSN/MBA program must complete six more courses than those participating in the MSN executive track.
