Located in Franklin, Virginia, Paul D. Camp Community College offers a two-semester LPN to RN bridge program. Applicants must have graduated from an accredited LPN program within five years of applying and have completed five additional college classes in English, psychology and biology. Somerset Community College, located in Somerset, Kentucky, south of Lexington, offers a three-semester LPN to RN bridge program. In addition to the nursing classes, students must complete 34 credits of general education courses to graduate from the program. Therefore, some students choose to take more than three semesters to complete the program. Nursing coursework includes pediatric nursing, behavioral health nursing, medical microbiology and pharmacology.

Located in Booneville, Mississippi, Northeast Mississippi Community College offers LPNs the opportunity to enter their RN program and waive up to 17 credits: eight for nursing fundamentals and nine for nursing care of the Family. LPNs choosing to pursue this program are usually able to complete the RN program in three semesters.
