Cornell University's Ivy League education extends to its School of Hotel Administration. The school opened in 1922, offering the first hospitality management program in a college setting. The school has 60 full-time expert faculty members, modern classrooms and an on-campus hotel. In 2004, Cornell's hotel school joined with Nanyang Technological University in Singapore to offer hospitality management as a joint master's program. The school also partnered with the Culinary Institute of America in 2006 to offer a combined degree in hospitality management and culinary arts.

The University of Houston's Conrad N. Hilton College of Hospitality opened its doors in September 1969. The college has expanded to include an 86-room hotel, two restaurants, conference facilities, banquet facilities, test kitchens and laboratories. The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation has contributed more than $45 million for building expansion, building updates and student scholarships. The school is highly ranked among hospitality programs and provides students with a global network of professionals working within the hospitality industry.
