North Central Texas College is a public, two-year institution with four branch campuses. The branch in Corinth is approximately 10 miles from Lewisville (14 minutes by automobile). Associate and certificate programs offered at the campus include teaching, business management, computer network technology, emergency medical services, law enforcement, office systems technology, surgical technology and practical nursing. To accommodate the schedules of working adults, the campus features evening and weekend courses in addition to traditional daytime studies. Personal counseling and academic advising services are available on campus. Students have the opportunity to participate in sports teams, such as baseball, softball, tennis and volleyball.

DeVry University is a private college with branch locations throughout the United States, including a campus in Irving, approximately 10 miles from Lewisville (15 minutes by automobile). Enrolling more than 2,500 students, the school grants associate, bachelor's and master's level degrees. The telecommunications and information systems programs are its largest, according to the "2009 Barron's Profiles of American Colleges." The college offers accelerated bachelor's degrees in business administration as well with specializations available in numerous areas, including accounting, finance, sales and marketing. Students have the opportunity to participate in paid, cooperative work placements while studying at DeVry. The college features 10 intramural sports teams and 15 student activity groups, such as religious organizations, a student newspaper and career interest clubs.

Located in Dallas, Brookhaen Community College is 16 miles from Lewisville (approximately 22 minutes by automobile). The college opened in 1978 and has a total enrollment of approximately 20,000 credit and non-credit students. Students can complete Associate of Science and Associate of Arts degree programs to prepare for transfer to a four-year school or work toward one of the school's Associate of Applied Science degrees. Among the majors available are child development, auto repair, radiography, nursing, geographic information systems and computer science. Numerous classes are available online and through distance education telecourses, and the school also offers some courses in Spanish for non-native English speakers. Students also can earn credit for completing community service or volunteer work through the college's service learning program. For athletes, the college has intercollegiate baseball, men's basketball, and women's volleyball and soccer teams.
