St. Louis Community College’s northernmost campus, Florissant Valley, offers a convenient location just off Interstate 270 in Ferguson. In addition to offering the only associate degree program in biotechnology in the state of Missouri, “Flo Valley” provides students with two-year career training in deaf communication studies and has been nationally recognized for its chemical and advanced manufacturing technology, child care and art programs. The campus is also home to KCFV-FM, a 100-watt radio station run by mass communication students that broadcasts throughout the St. Louis area.

Situated just north of downtown on Interstate 40, St. Louis Community College-Forest Park excels in medical-related fields (offering 18 different programs) and hospitality studies. The college also boasts an international student population of over 700, with students hailing from 70 countries. Students at Forest Park have the advantage of the city as an extended classroom for internships and independent study opportunities with the St. Louis Science Center, St. Louis University High School, Barnes-Jewish Medical Center, The St. Louis Art Museum and the St. Louis Zoo located just minutes from campus.

St. Louis Community College-Meramec, located in southwestern St. Louis County, is the largest St. Louis Community College in terms of student population. Over 40 percent of the STLCC district students take courses in one of Meramec’s college transfer curriculum programs or career programs that range from horticulture to interior design. The campus also houses the Center for Visual Technology, offering training in state-of-the-art computer labs to students interesting in pursuing visual arts careers.

Founded in 2007 to accommodate the growing population of West St. Louis County, the Wildwood campus was the first Midwestern college to earn the United States Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold level certification for its attention to energy efficiency, sustainability and indoor/outdoor environmental quality. While the school only offers associate’s degrees in a few fields (business administration, advertising/public relations, general transfer studies, art education and teacher education), students at Wildwood may pursue a four-year degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis via courses offered on the Wildwood campus.

The St. Louis County Community College district also runs three education centers. The Cosand Center, located in downtown St. Louis, is primarily devoted to business and industry training. The South County Education and University Center, an extension center for the Meramec campus, offers on-site upper division courses for the University of Missouri-St. Louis and Southeast Missouri State University.
