What Schools Offer Programs for Becoming a Physician Assistant?

Physician assistants are trained, licensed professionals who provide medical services under the watchful eyes of surgeons and physicians. A physician assistant program is ideal for people who have backgrounds in biology, chemistry, calculus and psychology. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, some programs expect prospective applicants to have spent time in clinical settings learning about the medical field and what a physician assistant career involves.
