Degree Programs in Health Psychology

Health psychologists conduct research and create methods that help patients maintain healthy lifestyles, according to the Division of Health Psychology of the American Psychological Association (APA). Training for health psychologists typically consists of completing a graduate degree in psychology. Graduation from an undergraduate health psychology program can prepare students for entry into a master's or doctoral program. Health psychology students can select from programs that train them for careers as clinicians or researchers.
