University of Wisconsin, Madison is a large public university in Wisconsin's capital city. The university offers residency and fellowship programs in radiology for graduate-level students. Residency programs are for students who have completed four years of medical school and want to complete a program narrowly focused on radiology. The Department of Radiology at University of Wisconsin, Madison offers two residency programs: diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine. Fellowships are available to board certified physicians in seven specialties, including breast imaging, cardiothoracic imaging and musculoskeletal radiology.

Mount Mary College is a private women's institution located in southeastern Wisconsin. The four-year college's health and sciences division offers a Bachelor of Science degree in radiologic technology. The first two years of the program consist of classroom curriculum, including courses on introductory biology, human physiology and human anatomy. Students are required to maintain a 3.0 GPA during the first two years to be admitted to the radiologic technology major. During the final two years, students complete clinical rotations at one of three local hospitals: Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, Columbia St. Mary's Healthcare System or Froedtert Hospital.

Chippewa Valley Technical College is a two-year school with five campuses across western Wisconsin. The college's largest campus in Eau Claire offers an associate degree program in radiography that includes both classroom course work and clinical experience. The program consists of four regular semesters and two shorter summer semesters. All students are required to complete classes that include introduction to radiography, radiographic quality analysis and radiation protection and biology. Clinical rotations are supervised; students complete one rotation each semester.
