Dental Courses in Canada

Dentistry in Canada is overseen by the Canadian Dental Association (CDA), which also administers the Dental Aptitude Test (DAT). All dental courses in Canada use DAT scores as one of the determining factors in admitting new students. Students may enter dental programs after completing a certain number of prerequisite college courses (usually two to three years), and dental courses in Canada last four to five years beyond that, for a total of six to eight years total study. Graduate courses for specialization are also available.
