In the Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics program, the student learns practical training in clinical procedures. Students also learn techniques in endodontics, the study of tooth pulp and the tissues surrounding the root of a tooth. The course teaches how to perform a variety of procedures such as root canals and oral surgery, as well as treating cracked teeth and dental trauma.
In the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program, students achieve competence in performing the extraction of teeth under local anesthesia and preventing and managing related complications. They also learn prevention and solutions to treating various diseases, injuries and infections that occur in the oral and maxillofacial area.
This courses teaches dentistry students the biology of teeth and the oral region as a whole, including how teeth and gums change over time with age, health and other factors. The student will be able to understand and identify various oral diseases and lesions, along with their causes and effects. This course trains students in managuing, preventing and treating oral disease.
In this course, students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently handle the challenges of pediatric dentistry. This course uses the latest equipment and materials available in training students to perform dentistry for children. Outpatient management, school dental-health programs and general anesthesia are also covered in this course.
