• Hatfield's Mississippi College of Beauty Culture offers a 1,500-hour cosmetology program that may be completed on a full- or part-time basis. The curriculum may be completed in as little as 52 weeks in the full-time program, and new enrollment takes place every month. Learning takes place in the 1,000-square-foot classroom and 3,500-square-foot fully equipped student salon, which has 32 work stations. Graduates are eligible for licensure from the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology and prepared to both work or own a salon. • The cosmetology program at the Jones Country Junior College is a one-year certificate program that offers education and skill development in all relevant areas. Courses in the program include cosmetology theory, scalp and hair treatments, artistry of artificial hair, facials and makeup application, and thermal techniques.
