    • Bloomfield College, with 2,000 students enrolled, has a small campus within the greater Newark metropolitan area in Bloomfield. The four-year, private, liberal arts college maintains an association with the Presbyterian Church. Bloomfield offers four-year programs in seven different areas of study.

    William Paterson University

    • Seton Hall University occupies 58 acres in South Orange on Newark's west side. The private university houses eight colleges, offering over 60 majors to 10,000 students.     Centenary College

    • Centenary College stretches over four campuses in the greater Newark metropolitan area. The campuses are in Hackettstown, Iselin, Parsippany and an equestrian center in Long Valley.
