Community Colleges Near Desoto, Texas

Located in Dallas County, DeSoto, Texas, is approximately 12 miles southeast of Grand Prairie and 15 miles southwest of Dallas. As of July 2009, the school was home to more than 48,000 people, according to City-Data.com. DeSoto is within 30 minutes of a number of community colleges. These public, two-year institutions allow students to participate in career training programs or complete general education requirements in preparation for transfer to a four-year college or university.
