Dental Technician Community Colleges Near Dallas

Dental technicians perform a range of duties that include creating dentures, bridges and crowns; obtaining X-rays; and assisting dentists in a number ways. To become a dental tech, students must first earn a two-year degree in dental hygiene or a certification or diploma as a dental assistant and get licensed to work with patients. Once assistants and hygienists get sufficient on-the-job experience, they can apply to the American Dental Association for voluntary certification in a specific area of expertise. There are a number of schools in the Dallas area that offer dental technician programs.
