Triangle Tech is a private, for-profit technical education school with campuses throughout western and central Pennsylvania, including a branch in Greensburg. The school carries the accreditation of the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges and grants Associate Degrees in Specialized Technology in computer-aided drafting, electric and construction technology, carpentry and construction technology, and heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning (HVACr). Also offered is a shorter certificate program in HVACr. The school is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools and Pennsylvania Department of Education Information but does not have any formal accreditation. Programs at the school include PC computer support technology, A+ certified computer technology, network technology and security analysis. The school provides technical training for high school students, as well as adults. For post-secondary students, programs culminate in a diploma or certificate and include automotive technology, carpentry, welding, computer-aided drafting, plumbing, computer technology and manufacturing technology. The courses range in length from as short as nine hours to as long as six months. Secondary students attend the school at no cost. For adults, some programs require tuition, while others are free.
