    • Located in Latrobe around 12 miles from Greensburg (18 minutes by automobile), the Eastern Westmoreland Career & Technology Center is a public institution operated by the Westmoreland County Intermediate Unit. The school provides technical training for high school students, as well as adults. For post-secondary students, programs culminate in a diploma or certificate and include automotive technology, carpentry, welding, computer-aided drafting, plumbing, computer technology and manufacturing technology. The courses range in length from as short as nine hours to as long as six months. Secondary students attend the school at no cost. For adults, some programs require tuition, while others are free. Job placement assistance is available.
