Find a list of courses offered by all Pennsylvania colleges and technical schools that will automatically transfer. The Pennsylvania Transfer and Articulation Center website provides a database that will match courses from various schools.
Meet with a guidance counselor at the school you anticipate attending. Typically this meeting will take place once you have been accepted at new school. You may find out that you can transfer more courses than you originally thought.
Test out of courses in which you already have experience. Many colleges offer routine testing that allows you to test out of basic skills courses such as math, English, science and history. Depending on your academic background, you may be able to save yourself time and money by not having to take those courses.
