Founded in November 2001, the Tulsa Welding School is a private institution accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and College. The school offers a seven-month master welder program, which teaches MIG, fluxcore, structural, TIG and pipe welding techniques. Also available is a two-year welding associate degree program. This course of study covers the same topics as the master welder program but includes classes in mathematics, radiation safety, metallurgy, ultrasonic and magnetic particle testing, leak testing, and quality management. A third class just in structural welding is available and lasts for three and one-half months.
