The Nevada Career Institute in Las Vegas offers vocational training in allied health sciences. Students at the Nevada Career Institute have the option to take classes in medical assisting, medical coding, medical billing, massage therapy and surgical technology. Program lengths vary, but some programs can be completed as quickly as eight months. Students may pursue their studies during the day or the evening.

Career College of Northern Nevada offers several vocational training courses in the greater Reno area. At Career College of Northern Nevada, students may pursue a diploma in trades such as electronics repair, medical assisting, HVAC and pharmacy technology. The college also offers associate degrees in paralegal studies, electronic engineering, computer technology, medical assisting and health information technology.
The Career Placement Services Office assists students in proper completion of applications, interviewing skills, using the Internet to look for jobs, job retention and finding job leads.
