This school offers one of the most extensive nursing programs in Australia as it offers 25 awards in the field. There are over 180 instructors at this school that specialize in fields such as clinical study, professionalism and intensive care. Students not only learn clinical techniques at this school, but also are required to participate in the research aspect of the field. The research programs at this school include health care for the older person and mental health. Undergraduates can pursue a degree in strictly nursing, but the school also offers a degree that combines both nursing and midwifery. Graduate programs offer degrees such as nurse practitioner, but also has programs in such fields as correctional nursing, drug awareness, emergency nursing and family nursing.
