Bible Colleges in Milwaukee

There are several institutions to choose from for prospective theology students in Milwaukee. As the largest city in Wisconsin, Milwaukee's selection of Bible colleges offers almost any discipline or major within the confines of a traditional college atmosphere. While there are additional Bible colleges in the area, the four in this list provide a basic overview from which to begin your search.
  1. Wisconsin Lutheran College

    • Wisconsin Lutheran College aims to create strong Christian leaders by employing Christian professors who "lead by example." WLC offers many undergraduate programs in areas like art, theology, chemistry and business administration. The college also offers a Masters of Arts in Education program and a special adult-education program for degree completion. A number of classes are available through an online-learning model. Professional preparation programs such as Pre-Med and Pre-Pharmacy are also taught at WLC.

    Marquette University

    • Marquette University is among the largest religious post-secondary educational institutions in the country. The university's office of Mission and Ministry states that faith and justice are at the heart of any education received through Marquette. In addition to a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, Marquette also offers professional-level studies. There is a College of Dentistry as well as a College of Law included as part of the larger Marquette University.

    Mount Mary College

    • Mount Mary College in Milwaukee offers a different learning experience from the other relevant institutions in the area because it is a women-only college. The School Sisters of Notre Dame sponsors this Catholic learning establishment. The college offers more than 60 majors that lead to four-year bachelor's degrees. There are bachelor's and bachelor's of science programs, as well as professional nursing training available. Shorter certificate programs are also available in certain disciplines, including Spanish for the Professional.

    Cardinal Stritch University

    • Cardinal Stritch University is a Franciscan institution that was founded in 1937. It has four basic colleges in its undergraduate program: arts and sciences, business, education and nursing. Master's and doctoral programs are also available, including a Master of Arts in religious studies. Cardinal Stritch also has a strong athletics program; the Stritch Wolves are part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, which regularly fields viable teams in sports such as basketball and volleyball.
