The MACC -- Columbia Higher Education Center offers an associate of arts degree and an associate of arts teaching degree. Also available at this campus are associate of applied science degrees and certificates in computer information technology, child development, business accounting technology and business office technology. In addition, the school affords a wide range of technical and academic courses from other areas of study, geared toward students intending to transfer these credits when they apply to other colleges later in their school careers.
Some of the courses offered by the Columbia branch of MACC are actually taught in buildings on the campuses of Stephens College and the University of Missouri. As part of a cooperative agreement between Columbia College and MACC, students who attain associate of arts or associate of applied science degrees from MACC may choose to complete bachelor's degrees through Columbia College. Columbia College maintains advisory and other offices on MACC's Moberly campus, just a 45-minute drive north of Columbia, Missouri.
Activities and organizations open to all MACC students, including those at the Columbia campus, include an art club, two honorary service organizations called Brothers Ox and NGN, men's and women's basketball teams, the Greyhound cheerleaders, student business organization Delta Epsilon Chi, the International Association of Administrative Professionals, the Multicultural Student Club, Phi Theta Kappa honor society, SkillsUSA, Student Government Association, Student Nurse Association, Missouri State Association of Licensed Practical Nurses and an alumni association.
