    • Metropolitan Community College (MCC) notes on its website that more than 70 percent of graduates transfer on to a four-year institution. Students at MCC can select form a number of disciplines including anthropology, economics, history, biology and physics. Career preparatory programs in more than 80 areas such as veterinary technology, respiratory care and medical transcription are also available. MCC provides services to students and the Kansas City community such as an Upward Bound Program, GED classes and business consulting.

    St. Louis Community College

    • St. Louis Community College offers a number of associate degree and certificate programs in areas such as accounting, baking and pastry arts, dental assisting, fine art and web development. Along with degree and certificate programs, students at STLCC can learn English as a Second Language or earn Career and Technical Certification in clusters including health and human services, arts and communication or natural resources and agriculture. Missouri high school students who graduate from "A+" high schools with at least a 2.5 GPA and meet other program requirements such as good citizenship and tutoring younger students while in high school can receive free tuition and fees at STLCC.

    Ozarks Community Technical College

    • Workforce development is the central focus of Ozarks Community Technical College. Students at the school can complete programs for allied health professions such as nurse assisting, earn a commercial driver's license or become certified in welding. Aspiring business owners can take accounting, communication and human resources classes. Seniors 60 years of age or older can enjoy discounts on lifelong learning courses. Ozarks Technical Community College is a site for Missouri's Industry Training Programs, which offer customized training for participating companies.

    Moberly Area Community College

    • Moberly Area Community College, or MACC, offers programs in more than 40 areas. Students at Moberly can earn an associate of arts or associate of science degree, or they can earn a technical education or certificate. Majors available to Moberly students include criminal justice, liberal studies and nursing. Certificate programs include marketing, welding technology and graphic arts technology. In addition to degree and certificate programs, MACC offers a GED program for adults in the community, as well as a business development center for those who wish to become self-employed.
