The New York City College of Technology, or NYCCT, also nicknamed City Tech, is one of the largest public baccalaureate colleges of technology in the northeast United States. The college has a total enrollment of more than 30,000, 414 full-time faculty staff and 61 degrees and certified programs, as of January 2011. The college is a part of the City University of New York.

Kingsborough Community College, or KBCC, is another Brooklyn College that is a part of the City University of New York system. Being the only community college in Brooklyn, KBCC offers associate degrees programs in accounting, fine arts, biology, business administration, community health, engineering, mathematics, journalism and print media, and tourism and hospitality. The college also has certificate programs in alcoholism and substance abuse counseling, aviation and cruise operations, culinary arts and food management, entrepreneurial studies, and hospitality and meeting planning.
