Florida Technology Colleges

Training in the fields of technology expands your job prospects and meets the changing needs of society. Advances in communications, information technology, automotive and health care technology all bring increased opportunities for employment. Programs at the college level are offered day and evening, full or part-time. Florida has several colleges throughout the state offering technology certificates, degrees and advanced degrees.
  1. Brevard Community College --- Cocoa, Titusville, Melbourne, Palm Bay

    • There are 80 programs leading to an associate of arts or associate of sciences degrees offered at campuses of Brevard Community College; applied technician diplomas and vocational certificates are awarded. The open enrollment workforce training has no admission requirements. Florida residents are granted reduced fees. General admission requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. There is a Health Sciences center for education and courses are offered at Kennedy Space Flight Center.

    ATI Career Training Center

    • ATI Career Training Center has two locations in south Florida's Broward County and a satellite campus in Miami. Electronics, fitness, health care, information technology, air conditioning and automotive repair courses are offered at the various locations, with certificates of completion awarded. A high school diploma or its equivalent are required for admission. State, local and private programs are available for financial aid.

    Florida Institute of Technology --- Melbourne

    • Undergraduate and graduate degrees are offered by the Florida Institute of Technology. The school's proximity to NASA gives its aeronautical and aviation undergraduates a hands-on opportunity for advanced research and learning. A sustainability minor has recently been added to the curriculum. High school transcripts, college entrance examinations, referrals and an essay are required in the admission package. Scholarships and financial aid are available.

    Florida Technical College - Orlando, Deland and Lakeland

    • Information technology, healthcare, paralegal and criminal justice certificates, diploma programs and associate degrees are offered at all three campuses of Florida Technical College. The school's focused learning curriculum means students take one course per month, focusing on that singular subject through to the final exam. Day and evening classes are on the schedule. Scholarships, grants and financial aid are available and career assistance is given to every graduate.

    ITT Technical Institute

    • ITT has 10 campuses throughout Florida offering associate's and bachelor's degrees in information technology, drafting and design, criminal justice, health sciences and electronics. Software development and mobile communications programs have recently been added to expand the ITT curriculum. A high school diploma or its equivalent is required for admission; college entry examination scores should accompany the application package. An admissions test may be administered. Financial aid is available.
