Career Training Solutions is an adult education institution that offers associate degrees in nursing and which is located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. It offers both a practical nurse program and registered nurse education program. Entrance tests are required for admission to the program that prepares students for regional nursing careers through theoretical and clinical-education courses that take on average 14 to 18 months to complete.

Tuition is $500 as of February 2011 and each 13-week session prepares students to serve their communities through careers as nurse's aides. Located in Fairfax, near Fredericksburg, George Mason University is a private university offering bachelor of science in nursing degrees as well as doctor of nursing practice (LPN to BSN), masters in nursing and PhDs in nursing. Students enroll in the school of nursing within the college of health and human services, and pursue either BSN, MSN, MSN/MBA or PhD degrees. It offers seven different programs within four study tracks, giving students a well-rounded as well as specific nursing education.
