The Tri-Cities Washington State Colleges

The actual campus for Washington State University Tri-Cities is in Richland, just off the banks of the Columbia River near the cities of Pasco and Kennewick. The Tri-Cities campus offers bachelors and master's degrees in 10 different degree areas. In addition to the Tri-Cities campus, WSU offers educational opportunities at its locations dispersed throughout the state.
  1. WSU Pullman

    • Out of the approximately 26,000 students enrolled at WSU, more than 18,000 of them attend the Pullman campus. Pullman is located near the eastern border of the state, which is 90 minutes from Spokane and five hours outside of Seattle. Also home to more than 1,500 international students, Pullman offers more than 200 academic fields for students from 12 different colleges, such as those for education, communication and business. For WSU Pullman students seeking to study abroad, more than 1,300 programs are available in 91 host countries around the world.

    WSU Spokane

    • Education has been available at WSU Spokane since the 1920s, and the campus was established as an urban research campus in 1989. WSU Spokane is centrally located in the downtown area of the city, which is also home to a $2 billion urban renaissance, a 100-acre park and eclectic architecture. The campus is near the Spokane River, and campus buildings house design facilities, health science labs and technology classrooms. Some feature programs including education, health, and social and policy sciences.

    WSU Vancouver

    • Situated in Vancouver, Washington, the 13-building WSU Vancouver campus, spans across 351 acres and is just 10 miles north of the Columbia River. Other campus amenities include six miles of biking and walking trails, a 200-seat lecture hall and 14 computer labs. Preschool and kindergarten programs are also offered at this campus to different ages of students with varying educational backgrounds. In addition, 18 bachelor's degrees, 10 master's degrees and one doctorate program are offered at WSU Vancouver in more than 37 fields of study.

    WSU Extensions

    • WSU Extension provides research-based educational programs in each of the 39 counties in the state. Through the extensions, non-credit and degree seeking students are provided educational opportunities. This is done through collaboration between WSU and the different communities to ensure the ability for students to indulge in the pursuit of life-long learning. In addition to its collegiate course offerings, the WSU extension provides opportunities for the youth and family, such as the 4-H Youth Development Program and others that focus on personal finance and other family issues.
