Washington State University gives college credit for numerous CLEP exam subjects. These include the exams needed to meet the school's general education requirements, popular foreign languages such as French, Spanish and German, a complete range of advanced mathematics exams, as well as business, social studies, history and psychology exams. However, the school limits the number of CLEP credits a student can earn to 45 quarter credits, and students with junior standing might not be eligible to earn any credits through CLEP exams. Washington State University's CLEP transfer rules can change without notice, so its best to contact a counselor to review CLEP credit policies.

Olympic College, a two-year junior college, restricts the number of credits that it will accept from CLEP tests to 15. Olympic has a specific list of CLEP exams it will accept for college credit, including Spanish, calculus and college algebra, as well as a few business, history, social studies and psychology tests. If you plan to transfer to a four-year college from Olympic, it is recommended to first find out if that four-year college of choice will transfer CLEP credits from Olympic.
