Obtain your college transcript. This may require a fee paid to your college's records office.
Convert your letter grades to point values based on the grading scale. For example, if your college uses the 4.0 grading scale, an A will equal a 4.00, an A- will equal a 3.7, a B+ will equal a 3.5 and so on. These values may differ slightly depending on the university. For an accurate calculation, acquire a copy of your college's student handbook and look for the grade point system. Once converted, add all numbers together.
Count the number of classes you have taken.
Divide the sum from step two, your grade points, by the sum from step three, or the total number of classes that you have taken. This will give you your cumulative grade point average.
