Instructions

    • 1

Find your total quality points and total credits taken for all semesters leading up to your final semester. These amounts are on your prior transcript.

    • 2

Write out your grades for the final semester and the number of credit hours each of the grades are worth.

    • 3

      Convert your letter grades to a numeric grade using your school's grade converter. An A is a 4, a B is a 3, a C is a 2, a D is a 1 and an F is a 0. Schools differ, though, on the decimal places if you get an A + or A -.

    • 4

Multiply each numeric grade by the credit hours the course is worth. Then add together these amounts. This is your total quality points for the semester. Add this to your total quality points from your prior semester's transcripts to get your total quality points during your college career.

    • 5

Add together all the credits you took during the final semester to find the total credits for the semester. Add this amount to your total credits taken in your college career from your last semester's transcripts to find your total credits taken.

    • 6

Divide your total quality points during your college career by your total credits taken during your college career to calculate your grade point average.
