How to Cite a URL in MLA

The Modern Language Association, or MLA, employs specific style guidelines for various types of documentation. MLA style is commonly used in academic institutions for writing essays, research papers and thesis statements. Proper citation of references is vital for any form of academic writing done in MLA style. Online resources, such as scholarly or professional sites, require citation of the uniform resource locator, or URL. Give proper credit to all Internet resources by learning to cite according to MLA style guidelines.
