The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWC) awards more than $25,000 each year to women in construction and engineering-related programs. Individual awards range in value from $1,000 to $2,000. According to the organization's website, applicants must be enrolled as full-time students in a construction-related study program at a college or university in the United States or Canada. Applicants must intend to move into a career in a construction-related field, and must have at least one term remaining in school.
To be eligible for an award, applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and must submit an application form, transcripts for the three most recent study semesters, a list of extracurricular activities and a list of employment history. The awards are granted based on these factors, as well as financial need.
Those who win awards can apply to renew the financial assistance if they continue to show a desire for work in construction, a continued need for the scholarship and continued academic achievement.

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) offers more than 10 scholarships that apply either to architectural engineering majors or all engineering majors.
SWE scholarship requirements vary depending on the type. For instance, the Honeywell International Inc. Scholarship, available for ten areas of engineering study (including architectural engineering), offers three awards worth $5,000 each; applicants are required to be United States citizens and show a financial need. In contrast, the New Jersey Scholarship requires applicants to be residents of the state of New Jersey, and offers only one scholarship, valued at $5,000.
Contact the Society directly or visit its website for more information about individual scholarships.

Many schools that offer architectural engineering as a major offer scholarships for women students enrolled in their programs.
For instance, the First Ladies in Science and Engineering group at Clemson University in South Carolina features a number of scholarship opportunities for women entering those fields. The school's Motivating Undergraduates in Science and Technology (MUST) program provides 100 undergraduates (men and women) with one-year scholarships of up to half of the tuition and fees required to attend the university, up to $10,000. Students who receive this grant are also eligible for an internship at NASA.
Clemson also features freshman scholarships, and is connected to a number of other local organizations that provide such scholarships.
Similar scholarship programs for architectural engineering majors are available at California Polytechnic State University, the University of Wyoming and Memorial University in Canada, among others. Some scholarships are geared towards women, while others apply to any architectural engineering majors.
