This program is designed to minimize your education or living costs, so that you can focus on completing your program in the field of gender studies. Every year, Sara's Wish Foundation awards 20 young women who have exhibited qualities of leadership and service. Each scholarship is worth $1,000 to $2,000. In order to qualify, you will need to fill out a short-answer form about your public service activities, leadership experiences and interest in the humanities/social sciences.

In their mission to advance the status of women around the globe, Zonta International continues to provide female students with $1,000 ($3,000 for international recipients) who are between the ages of 16 and 20. Since its origins, the Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship has helped 474 young women in 49 different countries pursue college programs in public policy and government. If you have an interest in public service, public affairs or international development, this is the right scholarship to apply for. Women of all nationalities are encouraged to participate, and you will need to send your application to the nearest Zonta office. You will be asked to briefly describe examples of public service, volunteerism, leadership, achievements, international awareness and/or dedication to advancing women's issues around the world.
