The U.S. Department of Energy offers a graduate fellowship program to students who are completing a research-oriented master's degree program in physics, chemistry, biology, math, engineering, computer science or environmental science. To apply, you must be in the first year of a master's degree program or in your second year if you're planning to enroll in a doctoral program upon completing your master's degree. The program provides selected students with $10,500 per year in tuition funding, a $35,000 annual living stipend and a $5,000 annual research stipend.

The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International sponsors the International Peace Fellows Program, which provides education funding to students seeking master's degrees in international relations, public administration, conflict resolution, peace studies or related fields. To apply, you must have completed a bachelor's degree, demonstrated strong leadership skills, be proficient in a foreign language and have a minimum of three years of relevant work or volunteer experience. You may choose to complete your studies in one of seven participating colleges and universities in the U.S. or abroad and individual fellowship funding is based on where you choose to enroll.
