This scholarship offers money to prospective teachers who agree to go into high-need fields and teach for four years within an eight-year period. High-need fields fluctuate and are defined by the U.S. Department of Education. Applicants who do not meet these requirements must pay back the scholarship as a federal Stafford Loan. Applicants must also meet academic requirements including college admission test scores and GPA.

This scholarship is available only to high school students in North Carolina. The application process requires three references, an application form and an interview. Winners are assigned to schools based on listed preference. Teaching Fellows must complete special classes and summer activities during college and agree to teach in the North Carolina Public School System for four years or repay the scholarship.

This scholarship program is offered by the federal government based on family income. Eligibility and grant amounts are determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Grant funds are given to the school and then distributed to the student at least twice an academic year. Applicants must be working on their first bachelor's degree or on certain post-baccalaureate programs.

This scholarship program is for prospective teachers pursuing a career in American history, government or social studies in grades seven to 12. The grant may not exceed $12,000 per year and $24,000 total and is available only to prospective teachers attending graduate school. Qualifying graduate programs include American history, political science, a master of arts in teaching with a focus on American history or government or a master of science in education concentrating on American history or government. The scholarship is available to full-time and to part-time students who are currently teaching.
