The Spencer Educational Foundation provides part-time study grants to students pursuing a master's degree in risk management. Spencer Educational Foundation Part-Time Master's Scholarship Awards are awarded to cover the total cost of a student's tuition and fees in amounts of up to $10,000. In order to be eligible, an applicant must be enrolled as a part-time master's student, and must be enrolled for at least 12 credit-hours in a 12-month period. Grants will be awarded on the criteria of a student's work experience, leadership qualities, and undergraduate academic performance. The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada provides scholarship assistance to students who belong to an ethnic minority and who are pursuing degrees that will prepare them for a career in government finance. The GFOA Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship is awarded annually in the amount of $5,000. In order to be eligible, a student must be an upper-level undergraduate or graduate student, a citizen of the U.S. or Canada, and must be a member of one of the following ethnic groups: African-American, Alaskan Native, American Indian, Asian, Pacific Islander or Hispanic. Eligible areas of study include public administration, accounting, economics, finance, political science and business administration. The International Furnishings and Design Association offers scholarship assistance to part-time students enrolled in an interior design or related program through the IFDA Educational Foundation Part-Time Student Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded in amounts of $1,500. In order to be eligible, a student must be attending school on a part-time basis, and must have already completed a minimum of four classes in interior design or related furnishings and design classes. In addition to a completed application, students must also submit a transcript that includes their cumulative grade point average, and a 200-400 word essay that describes their inspirations, prior achievements, and career goals. Applications are accepted between March 1 and March 31 annually. Interested students should visit the IFDA Educational foundation website to download an electronic application.
