GED Test Score Requirements for Scholarships in Missouri

College degrees are becoming more of a necessity in finding gainful employment. Hart Research Associates' 2009 study "Raising the Bar," shows 25 percent of contributing employers said they would be less likely to hire those with only a high school education whereas 28 percent said they would be more willing to hire those with bachelor's degrees. Those with GEDs who would like to pursue graduate school in Missouri have many scholarships available to help. However, score requirements vary between universities.
  1. Park University

    • Park University has three scholarships. The Trustee Scholarship covers 100 percent of tuition but requires a GED score of 3200 as well as a 28 ACT or 1860 SAT score. The President's Scholarship requires scores of 3000 GED and 26 ACT or 1760 SAT and covers 50 percent of tuition. Lastly, covering 25 percent of tuition is the Hundley-Volker Scholarship, which requires scores of 2800 GED and 24 ACT or 1650 SAT. All three are available for four years, requiring 24 credit hours each year and GPAs of 3.5, 3.25 and 3.0 respectively. Scholarships are awarded until funding is spent.
