Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau offers a renewable GED scholarship to 20 individuals every year. You must be a resident of Missouri and not have attended any other university or college. You must have a combined standard score of 3,000 or above on the GED to be eligible. The scholarship pays incidental fees that amount to an equivalent of 30 hours per academic year. If the recipient completes 30 hours per year and maintains a 3.5 cumulative GPA, then the scholarship may be renewed.

Crowder College in Neosho offers a scholarship worth $600 per semester to students who took the GED in Missouri and passed with a minimum score of 2900. It can be renewed if full-time status and a 3.0 GPA are maintained.

Columbia College in Columbia offers four different scholarships to students with a GED. If you're a new freshman that scored at least a 304 on the GED and a 26 on the ACT or 1180 on the SAT, and are a child of an alumnus, then you could get the Alumni Legacy Scholarship, which covers 20% of your tuition. If you're a Boone County resident that scored a 280 on the GED, as well as 22 on the ACT or 1020 on the SAT, and can demonstrate involvement in community service, then you could receive the Boone County Endowed Award, which awards up to $1,000 a year. Those that scored a 320 on the GED, along with at least a 28 on the ACT or 1260 on the SAT, can win the Capstone Scholarship, which covers half of your tuition, plus $2,000. And finally, new freshman that scored a 285 on the GED and at least 22 on the ACT or 1030 on the SAT can be awarded the Cornerstone Scholarship, which offers $2,000 a year.

Jefferson College, which is located in Hillsboro, offers many scholarships to students with a GED. The B. Clark Berry, Ruth & Marion Berry Endowment Fund awards residents of Jefferson County that scored at least 280 on the GED with a renewable scholarship. Another, from the Board of Trustees at the Eagle Bank & Trust Company, offers a scholarship to a Jefferson County resident that has a GED, with no minimum score specified, and is planning to pursue a degree in a business field. If you've lived within the Grandview, DeSoto or Hillsboro school districts for at least five years and received your GED, then you could be eligible for a non-renewable scholarship from the DeSoto Business & Professional Women's 25th Anniversary Endowment.

Missouri Western State University in Springfield offers a GED scholarship to first-time college students who scored a 2750 or higher on the GED, or 285 or higher if you took it prior to 2002. If you're enrolled in at least 12 hours, this scholarship can be worth up to $500 a year. Students who are awarded this scholarship must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA to be eligible to renew the scholarship.
