Ohio Art Scholarships

If you're an Ohio student who has decided on a career in the arts, it may be confusing trying to figure out how you're going to pay for college. You'll be relieved to learn that Ohio has a track record of supporting the arts, and there are many scholarship options you can apply for in order to finance your college experience.
  1. The Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition

    • The Youth Art Exhibition serves as a state wide entry opportunity for all Ohio art students. The 1,112 Ohio high schools are divided into 15 regions for the 12,000 initial student entries, with each having a regional director who is responsible for regional judge selection as well as regional exhibition details. From the 12,000 regional entries, 2,500 works of art will be submitted to a state judging panel comprised of college art instructors and nationally acclaimed artists. The judges choose 300 works of art for the final exhibition, which is held in Columbus. Of the 300 finalists, 25 are honored with the Governor's Award of Excellence. More than 30 colleges and universities of art offer scholarships to entrants based on entries, portfolios and other criteria.
