The Kansas Teacher Service Scholarship is available to an outstanding aspiring teacher by the Kansas Board of Regents. Qualified applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in education or teaching, must excel academically and must commit to teaching in an underprivileged area of Kansas for at least one year upon completion of their program. The award amount is generally from $500 to $3,000 per academic year.
The Kansas Nursing Service Scholarship is offered to an aspiring nurse by the Kansas Board of Regents. Qualified applicants must sign an agreement that they will work as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in a Kansas institution for at least one year upon completion of their program. If a student receives aid through this scholarship for more than one year of her schooling, she must commit to additional years of service in a Kansas community. The award amount is generally from $500 to $3,000.
The Kansas State Scholarship is available to a needy student by the Kansas Board of Regents. To qualify, students must demonstrate financial need, must excel academically and must rank in the top 20 to 40 percent of their graduating high school class. This award is reserved for incoming college freshman that plan on attending an accredited Kansas college or university upon graduation. The award amount is generally from $500 to $3,000 per academic year.
