Can you opt your child out of EQAO standardized testing?

In Ontario and all other Canadian provinces, parents cannot, under current legislation, opt their child out of EQAO standardized testing without extenuating circumstances. Such extenuating circumstances may include health issues or special education needs that make standardized testing impractical or counterproductive.
